Subterranean Squirrel
Tonight as I was pulling into my driveway, a squirrel ran right in front of my car and ran down into the storm drain. This seemed peculiar to me, as I don't even ever remember seeing squirrels in my neighborhood before. For some reason it's striking me as an omen of some kind... of what, I'm not sure, but I hope it's something good.

I've always been a fan of squirrels, myself, so I would consider it a good omen. I've never heard of one going down a storm drain, though - don't you have any trees for him to climb? Poor little squirrel....
Hi, had to change display name from Boltfan to Old Dog.
It is special to see something so unusual. As seldom as it rains, they could have a whole city down there. Wonder if he/they have another exit.
A whole city of subterranean squirrels???? I don't think I like the sound of that....
I thought it was unusual to see a squirrel go down a storm drain, but that could be where all the neighborhood squirrels are, in a subterranean city...
I wonder what sort of schemes they cook up down in their city in the bowels of your neighborhood. They can be very creative, you know....
Probably figuring out a way to steal all the nuts...
